Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior to apply for this freshman year award.
  4. Must plan to attend DePaul University.
  5. Must plan to major in art, media or design.
  6. Must attend a college or university in Illinois.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. graduating high school seniors who plan to attend DePaul University in Illinois and major in art, media or design are eligible to apply for this award.

Application requirements for the DePaul University Art Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The Art Scholarship cannot be combined with a service or leadership scholarship.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, renewable for up to three years, as long as the recipient remaines enrolled full time each quarter in the corresponding major, maintains good academic standing and earns a minimum of 36 quarter hours annually, excluding summer sessions.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $40,000.

Applications for admission are available online from the DePaul University website. The student will be automatically considered upon admission to the university as an art major. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit high school transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, a high school counselor recommendation form, and a digital portfolio. The portfolio should contain 10 digital files as follows: nine digital images (one for each of his/her artworks) and one digital file with his/her name and resume. Each digital image should be saved as a JPEG file (100 dpi and no larger than 7"-x 5"-inches) and include your name, the title of the work, medium, size (h x w x d) and year completed. The resume should include his/her name and contact information, schools attended, art exhibitions he/she participated in, awards he/she has received and any other art-related activities. If the student submits a video file, he/she must use Quick Time and title the file using the same guidelines outlined above. The digital files must be sent in one email to [email protected] Submissions emailed as a PowerPoint will not be accepted. The applicant must be admitted to DePaul University by Feb. 1, and his/her portfolio must be received by Feb. 1.
