The purpose of the Kansas Nurses Foundation is to receive and manage funds derived from memorials, gifts, and contributions and to apply the income thereof to support charitable nursing education and scientific activities through grants, loans, or scholarships to individuals, organizations, and institutions engaged in nursing education or research. This scholarship is for basic nursing students who are residents of Anderson, Franklin, Linn, or Miami counties in Kansas. If no qualified basic nursing candidate applies, the following criteria in order of priority will be: a registered nurse pursuing a bachelor's of science in nursing, or a graduate or postgraduate student with a nursing focus.
