Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student.
  4. Must be majoring in psychology and plan to seek a career in relationship counseling or a related field.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and submit an essay on the psychology of online dating.

Additional Information: The award will be disbursed on July 31.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Application information is available online on the DatingAdvice.com website. To apply, each student must write an essay of 500 to 900 words on "The Psychology of Online Dating". The essay should address the psychological issues and challenges facing singles given the growing popularity of online dating and how relationship professionals can help online daters navigate these challenges. Essays must be in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, with one-inch margins. Any resources should be cited using MLA format. Any plagiarism or fabrication will disqualify student from award disbursement. The student should include his/her full name and .edu mailing address with the essay. The student must submit his/her essay and official transcript by mail to the address provided. Entries must be postmarked by the deadline date.
