The Economist Group
$25,000 annually, non-renewable. Payment will be made by The Economist Group directly to the business school and may not be used for any purpose other than a tuition scholarship for the winner, and may not be granted in any other form such as cash or check and may not be transferred by the winner to another person. Please note: Five randomly selected runners-up will each receive an iPad Air.
One award offered annually.
The winner will be the entrant with the highest simulation test score. If two or more entrants tie for the highest score, they will be contacted by email and asked to submit an essay in the form of an Analytics Writing Assessment (AWA) modeled after a typical AWA question one would encounter on the GMAT. Each tying entrant must submit his/her essay within three days after being contacted. The essay will be in the same format as on the GMAT. The winner will be notified no later than May 30 and will be granted a period of one year to apply to his/her sponsor school of choice. To receive the prize, the winner must apply to and be accepted at one of the business schools sponsoring this contest. The winner must meet the other requirements and application process as set forth by the sponsor business school to be granted his/her scholarship. If the winner does not meet the other requirements for admission into his/her sponsor school choice, or does not apply within one year of being notified about his/her win, the scholarship will not be granted to him/her and will be provided to the next qualifying candidate with the highest sim test score.
