Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must demonstrate extreme financial need.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. Must plan to pursue a career in aviation.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  6. Must be a member of EAA (student membership is free), or obtain sponsorship from an EAA member.

Additional Information: Funded by the Harry E. Arcamuzi Family and awarded through the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Aviation Foundation, this scholarship is provided each year to an inner-city student who hopes to pursue a career in aviation. Students must be EAA members (student membership is free), or obtain sponsorship from an EAA member.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Online application forms are available on the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Aviation Foundation, Inc. website. As part of the application, the student must write a personal statement of 500 words or less addressing the items listed on the application, and submit contact information for two references (not family members) who are familiar with his/her scholastic performance and/or work and volunteer activities. Students may also be requested to provide official high school and/or college transcripts. Applications must be received by the deadline date.
