Number of Awards & Eligibility: At least one award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  2. Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at time of application.
  3. Must be studying in a field related to alliance building, counterintelligence, cultural understanding, and/or national security.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award aims to help further the education and career development of scholars. Especially in the areas of International Affairs, Counterintelligence and National Security. Workers in these fields and their children are encouraged to apply with the goal of improving national security and global understanding.

Additional Information: This program is offered to help further the educational and career development of Counterintelligence and National Security Workers, their children, and scholars of Counterintelligence and National Security and to increase global understanding and national security.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applications are available online on the Lint Center website. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following: a 600- to 800-word essay explaining one of the goals or concepts of the Lint Center, especially as it relates to counterintelligence, national security, alliance building, and/or national defense; a signed request indicating whether or not the student consents to having his/her essay published on the Lint Center website; a photograph of himself/herself; a one-page personal essay that discusses what makes him/her the right recipient for this scholarship and helps the scholarship committee better understand him/her; a resume (optional); proof of acceptance and enrollment at an accredited four-year college or university; high school or university transcript(s) that include cumulative grade point average and SAT and/or ACT scores; copies of any special academic awards; and a faculty/supervisor recommendation letter that comments on his/her role in counterintelligence, national security, alliance building and national defense activity, his/her level of involvement, the quality of his/her work, and any other information that would be of interest to the scholarship committee. The completed application package should be submitted with the online application form. Hard copy applications will be accepted, but digital submission is preferred.
