$2,500 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship awardees from past years will not be selected to receive additional scholarships. Students must apply again each year.

Through the generosity of John W. Gracik, Life Member of ASME, a scholarship fund was established in 1992 in honor of his parents, John and Elsa. Applicants must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited school for the upcoming academic year. Information regarding accreditation status is available online at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx. The award recipient will be selected on the basis of scholastic ability, demonstrated financial need, character, leadership, and potential contribution to the mechanical engineering profession. All applicants will be notified of the scholarship results between June 15 and July 1. Scholarship money will be sent to scholarship winners by the end of August.
