The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS)
$4,000 annually, non-renewable. Additionally, each scholarship recipient will be given the opportunity of selecting up to $300 in TMS Light Metals Division-sponsored conference proceedings or textbooks to be donated to the recipient's school's library in his/her name, and up to $400 in books for the award recipient. As the award is preferably presented during the TMS Light Metal Division luncheon at the TMS Annual Meeting, up to $600 in travel expenses is available.
One award offered annually.
The following criteria will be assessed by the scholarship selection committee to select the recipients of this scholarship: scholarship application; academic achievement; activities in and out of school, including work experience; leadership; personal profile statement; and letters of recommendation. Relatives of members of the TMS Student Affairs Committee or of the TMS Funding Committee/Division are not eligible. Please note: The applicant may apply for up to two of the TMS Scholarship Programs.
