The number of awards offered varies annually. This year, a minimum of four scholarships will be awarded.
The Michigan Nurses Foundation (MNF) was created in 2000 to advance nursing and nursing education by awarding scholarships and research grants, and providing financial aid for the treatment of recovering nursing professionals. MNF is funded through private contributions and fundraising activities. Scholarships will be awarded by the foundation after consideration of an applicant's grade point average and academic record, financial need and community service. Criteria that will be influential to the scholarship committee screening include: Michigan Nursing Student Association or MNA membership; community involvement; and clear documentation of financial need. MNF Scholarship recipients will be notified by email the second week in September. Scholarships are awarded in October.
