The number of awards offered varies annually. In the past, three scholarships have been awarded.
The scholarship program is designed to recognize and encourage today's African American students who will become tomorrow's accountants. The MSCPA's Educational Foundation promotes the accounting profession to both high school and college students. All awards will be presented at the society's annual awards ceremony, scheduled for May 14 in Boston, MA. Scholarship funds can be used at the discretion of the individual, e.g., for tuition, books, interviewing expenses, etc.
