Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately 100 awards offered annually. The number of scholarships differs by state.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must attend or plan to attend a civil engineering, construction management or construction engineering program at an accredited four-year college or university or two-year technical institution.
  4. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.
  5. Must enroll full time.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. citizens who are high school seniors or older students enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate civil engineering, construction management, or construction engineering program are eligible for this award.

Additional Information: The institution selected by the student must offer, and the student must take, at least one course on asphalt pavement technology. Financial need will not be considered. Participants in the NAPA Research and Education Foundation Scholarship Program will be selected utilizing standard recipient selection procedures as developed by a leading scholarship management firm. Criteria include consideration of past academic performance and future potential, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of career and educational aspirations, goals, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

Award Amount: $1,000 to $2,700 annually, renewable for up to two additional years or until graduation, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and continued eligibility for the program. Award amounts differ by state.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,550.
