Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually, one award will be awarded to a student applying to the graphic design degree program and one will be awarded to a student applying to the web design degree program.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must plan to major in graphic design or web design.
  2. Must be a parent and primary caregiver.
  3. Must plan to attend Sessions College for Professional Design in Arizona.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Description: This award is for U.S. parents who apply for admission to Sessions College and are planning to major in web design or graphic design.

Application requirements for the Sessions College 24/7 Parent Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter
  • Essay
  • Official Transcript
  • Test scores
Additional Information: Sessions College welcomes military students. This scholarship offers U.S. military service members the chance to develop skills for a graphic or Web Design career while on active duty. Sessions College will review each application carefully and select one Graphic Design applicant and one Web Design applicant for the scholarship based on their merit. Scholarship recipients will be notified upon acceptance into the degree program. Scholarship decisions are independent of program acceptance decisions; you may be accepted to the program even if a scholarship cannot be awarded to you.

Award Amount: $3,000 offered annually non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

Information about this award is available online on the Sessions College website. In addition to applying for admission, applicants must submit an essay of no more than 500 words entitled “Educating Mommy (or Daddy).” This essay should describe the challenges of going to school as a primary home childcare provider and explain why an online program will help to overcome those challenges.Students can apply for admissions online. In addition to a completed admissions application, the student must submit the following: a cumulative high school transcript; official ACT and/or SAT score reports; international students whose native language is not English should submit TOEFL or IELTS scores instead; a letter of recommendation; and a portfolio with 5-10 sample pieces or alternate project. In addition to the essay needed along with the admissions applicants students applying for this award must write a description of the process of creating his/her best portfolio sample. Provide details on the goals of the project, the steps taken to create it, and the reasons he/she feels it is his/her best art or design piece to date.
