Up to four awards offered annually.
Selection of the scholarship recipients will be based on the scholarship committee's judgment of the candidates' potential career contribution to the coated paper and paperboard and graphic arts industries. Preference will be given to those applicants who demonstrate a seriousness of purpose in pursuing a course of study and a career related to the science and technology of the paper industry and specifically that of the coated paper and paperboard and the graphic arts fields. In making selections, the scholarship committee will not only consider the documentation submitted but also may conduct interviews with individual applicants. The scholarship recipients will be notified whenever the selection of the recipients is completed. Unsuccessful candidates shall also receive notification. In addition to the financial reward, scholarship recipients will be encouraged to secure summer employment in the industry. The C&GA Scholarship Committee, upon request, may assist the award winners in this endeavor.
