  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must be a citizen of the United States, Australia, Canada, or the Cayman Islands.
  3. Must be majoring in business administration/management, entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, marketing, human resources or construction management.

Description: The Frank Blau Jr. Scholarship is available to students who are majoring in business administration/management, entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, marketing, human resources or construction management. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States, Australia, Canada, or the Cayman Islands.

Additional Information: The Frank Blau Scholarship is provided annually in honor of a retired plumbing contractor from Milwaukee, WI who owned a hugely successful business called Blau Plumbing. Frank spent even more of his career traveling the country dedicating his time to teaching contractors how to determine the correct selling price, embrace the concept of flat rate pricing, raise the bar in our industries to the professional levels they so deserve and to earn a successful living while protecting the health, safety and welfare of our nation. Frank was the original founding father of today’s Nexstar Network organization in 1992 and has transformed literally thousands of contractors’ lives, and that of their families, with his teachings. He continues today to mentor contractors all over the world, who are willing to learn and “take the medicine.”

Award Amount: $6,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,000.

Applications and information are available online at the NexStar Foundation website. In addition to the completed online application form, applicants must submit the following items: Completed personal, educational and employment information; SAT and ACT scores if available; high school and/or college transcripts as appropriate; A list of community & leadership activities; one to three letters of recommendation; a career choices survey; and responses to the essays listed on the form. All applications and supporting documentation must be submitted online prior to the deadline date.
