Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually, one to a civil engineering major and one to a building construction management major. Preference is to award one scholarship to a junior and one to a senior.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must meet admission requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida.
  4. Must plan to enroll full time (12 or more credit hours per semester).
  5. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must have a declared major in civil engineering or building construction management.
  7. Must be a college junior or senior.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. juniors and seniors at the University of North Florida who are majoring in civil engineering or building construction management. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: UNF's School of Engineering and Department of Construction Management are proud to offer this scholarship sponsored by American Concrete Institute (ACI). ACI is a nonprofit technical and educational society organized in 1904 and is one of the world's leading authorities on concrete technology. ACI is a forum for the discussion of all matters related to concrete and the development of solutions to problems. Scholarship recipients must: maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; remain in good standing as a student; comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; and consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor.

Award Amount: $750 annually, non-renewable. The award is disbursed in spring term only.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Applications are available online on the University of North Florida (UNF) College of Computing, Engineering & Construction (CCEC) website. As part of the online application, the student must submit short essay answers (300 characters or less) describing his/her career interests, extracurricular activities, and work experience. The scholarship application must be completed online and submitted by the deadline date. Only electronic applications will be accepted.
