Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must meet admission requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida (UNF).
  4. Must enroll full time with 12 or more credit hours each semester, except for seniors requiring fewer than 12 credits to graduate.
  5. Must be enrolled as a junior or senior.
  6. Must be enrolled in the UNF building construction management program.
  7. Must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher at the time of application.

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. college juniors and seniors at the University of North Florida who are enrolled in the building construction management program. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: American Electrical Contracting, Inc. is a full service electrical contracting company serving the Jacksonville Metro and Northeast Florida areas. It is committed to providing its customers with unsurpassed levels of quality electrical service. Successful applicants will be selected by a committee chosen by the Dean of the College of Computing, Engineering and Construction. Scholarship recipients must: maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; remain in good standing as a student; comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; and consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back after January 15, 2020 when next year's applications are expected to become available. Applications are available online on the University of North Florida (UNF) College of Computing, Engineering & Construction (CCEC) website. As part of the online application, the student must submit short essay answers (300 characters or less) describing his/her career interests, extracurricular activities, and work experience. The scholarship application must be completed online and submitted by the deadline date. Only electronic applications will be considered.
