Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must pursue a career in occupational therapy.
  3. Must be a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  4. Must enroll full time at an accredited college or university.
  5. Must be a resident of North Dakota.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  7. Must attend the University of North Dakota.
  8. Must be college senior, or graduate student currently enrolled in an occupational therapy program at time of application.

Description: This award is available for U.S. graduate students who are residents of North Dakota and who are currently attending the University of North Dakota. Students must be members of the American Occupational Therapy Association and be pursing a career in occupational therapy.

Application requirements for the University of North Dakota Ruth Peterson Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Reference forms (3)
Additional Information: This scholarship is supported by the Kappa Chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon. Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance and have a sustained record of outstanding scholastic achievement. Applicants are considered for all scholarships for which they qualify, but may receive only one scholarship per year. Winners will be notified by April.

Award Amount: Approximately $375 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $375.
