Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a current college freshman or older.
  4. This is an undergraduate award.
  5. Must major in biology, chemistry or physics.
  6. Must be a U.S. service veteran.
  7. Must attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. service veterans currently majoring in biology, chemistry or physics at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are eligible for this award.

Application requirements for the UW-Eau Claire Charlotte L. Grinsel Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letters (2)
Additional Information: If no veteran in need of financial assistance is available, an immediate family member (spouse, child) of a veteran shall be considered to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Award Amount: $5,300 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,300.

Applications are available from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire biology, chemistry, physics or astronomy departments. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit two letters of recommendation. All application materials must be submitted by the deadline date.
