In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be enrolled full time.
  4. Must be female.
  5. Must be a current undergraduate student.
  6. Must be majoring in automotive retail and/or automotive service program at the beggining of the fall term following application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for undergraduate, U.S. women. Students must also be able to verify full-time enrollment at an accredited automotive retail and/or automotive service program at the beginning of the 2012 fall term.

Additional Information: The GM Women’s Retail Network (WRN) Dealer Development Scholarship Program is intended for women who are enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or non-traditional educational institutions that offer formal programs/majors/certifications in automotive retail and/or automotive service. Applicants will be evaluated on the strength of the following: academic performance, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, career and educational aspirations, and on the strength of the applicants personal statement. Financial need will also be taken into consideration.

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications are available on the GM Womens Retail Network website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must also submit the following: two letters of recommendation (the letters must be from the people listed on the application); an official transcript; and a copy of the student's completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The complete application must be submitted online by the deadline.
