Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be a full-time student.
  5. Must have a declared major in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering or one of the environmental sciences (geology, hydrogeology, biology, ecology, public health, or industrial hygiene toxicology).
  6. Must be a college junior, senior, or graduate student at time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to seniors and graduate students enrolled full-time and studying civil or chemical engineering, or any environmental subject. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: Brown and Caldwell's Scholarship supports students pursuing an education in environmental services, and is both a means of honoring industry pioneers and an investment in the future.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable. The recipient will also receive a paid summer internship at a Brown and Caldwell office and a dedicated mentor to guide the recipient through the company's information and communications resources.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications are available online from the Brown and Caldwell website. In addition to the completed application, the following materials must be submitted: a current resume; two letters of recommendation (one must be from a university official); an essay of 250 words or less on the applicant's career goals in environmental science; an academic adviser's name, phone number and email address; and an official transcript. The completed application and supporting materials must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
