Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a native-born or naturalized U.S. citizen.
  3. Must have reached his/her 19th, but not 26th, birthday by the application deadline date.
  4. Must participate in a vocal or instrumental collaborative performance to enter this competition.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is open to U.S. students who are 19 to 25 years of age as of the application deadline. Students must submit a CD recording of a collaborative vocal or instrumental performance to enter.

Application requirements for the NFMC Virginia Allison Collaborative Award are:

Additional Information: Applicants must be members of NFMC, either through membership in a school club that is affiliated with NFMC or individual membership. Students may join NFMC via the application; a $16 membership fee is required. Judging will take place on March 15. Winners will be asked to submit their Social Security numbers to the NFMC Treasurer.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable. The award is split between the collaborators.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
