Greater Kansas City Community Foundation
Scholarship awards will be provided at $50 per month to a maximum of $85 per month, for an annual total ranging between $600 and $1,020. Funds may be used to pay for musical lessons, and all checks will be made payable to the instructor on the winner's behalf.
One or more awards will be provided annually.
The Notes for Life Scholarship is provided annually to local students in the Greater Kansas City area who wish to pursue additional instruction with a musical instrument, singing, or dance. Applicants must reside in Boone County, Missouri, St. Louis County, Missouri or Klamath County, Oregon. Submissions will be evaluated based on a combination of financial need and the student's demonstrated commitment to the musical arts, and scholarships will be provided to selected students for the purpose of assisting with the costs of lessons. This scholarship and many others are provided through the administrative services of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation (GKCCF). Founded in 1978, GKCCF was designed to provide a central resource for smaller local charities that would benefit from pooled experience and administrative capacities. Questions about this scholarship, any of the provider's other awards, or the foundation itself may be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
