In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a 3.25 GPA or higher.
  2. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a nursing program.
  3. Must be a resident of District of Columbia.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The District of Columbia Nursing Scholarship is a one-time $2,500 award given annually to two students in financial need who are residents in the District of Columbia who have been accepted or are currently enrolled in a Nursing program at the University of the District of Columbia. A minimum GPA of 3.25 is required.

Application requirements for the District of Columbia Nursing Scholarship are:

  • No application requirements for this scholarship
Additional Information: General Eligibility Requirements include: Applicants must be citizens of the United States to apply for a scholarship offered by the DAR Scholarship Committee. Applicants must also attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. DAR chapter sponsorship is not required. But, applicants may want to reach out to a DAR chapter in their area for help with their applications.

Award Amount: Up to $2,500 offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
