If you are a political science major, there are scholarships for you. Political science scholarships help offset the cost of a college degree. They are often set aside for people who strive to serve. This also means there are political science scholarships that come from a few sources. Like various levels of the gov’t. And from colleges, agencies and private donors.
To be eligible, you need to meet the criteria each giver sets up. Having strong grades is a common one or a mix of GPA, test scores and financial need. Some providers may ask about your leadership, community service or activist experiences. The Pride Foundation Scholarship is for eligible applicants pursuing post secondary education in the Northwest region. You must reside in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington. Also you must be majoring in law, political science, public policy or public administration. You must also have a goal of improving rights for LGBT community.
Apart from this, you will need to complete an application form and an essay. Don’t forget to submit it on time!
In some cases, the award comes with two things. A grant of money and, a job contract. Award winners may score other benefits too. Political science scholarships may help with your tuition and fees, books, supplies and board. It depends on the sum and who awards it.
This can be useful if your goal is to earn a four year degree.
