In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must major in range science or a closely related field.
  3. Must be a high school senior, college freshman, or college sophomore to apply for this undergraduate award.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available to a high school senior, college freshman or college sophomore planning to major in or presently majoring in range science and/or a closely related field. The recipient of the scholarship must be planning to attend or be currently in attendance at a college or university with a range science program.

Application requirements for the Masonic Range Science Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letter (2)
  • Official ACT or SAT scores
Additional Information: Applicants must be sponsored by a member of the Society for Range Management (SRM), the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD), or the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS). The SRM Student Affairs Committee will select the recipient(s) and announce their selection at the SRM annual meeting held in February each year. Membership in the SRM is open to anyone engaged in or interested in any aspect of the study, management, or use of rangelands. Applicants should visit the SRM website to determine their membership type. Please note: The applicant must major in range science and/or a closely related field. However, according to SRM a 'closely related field' is not specifically defined, but is determined based on how the applicant answers section D of the application.

Award Amount: $5000  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

A completed application and supporting materials must be sent in one package and be postmarked by the deadline date. All application materials should be sent to the address provided above. Applications received without the accompanying materials will not be considered.
