Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three scholarships are awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be an active Phi Alpha member.
  2. Must be actively involved in community service.
  3. Must be committed to the social work profession.
  4. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.

Description: Each year, the Patty Gibbs-Wahlberg Scholarship is offered in the amounts of $1,000, $2,000, and $3,000. The awards go to three college students in the United States who are pursuing a CSWE-accredited bachelor's degree in social work. Eligible recipients must be active Phi Alpha members, demonstrate academic excellence and much more.

Additional Information: The Patty Gibbs-Wahlberg Scholarship recognizes student scholarship, service and Leadership. Eligible recipients must be active Phi Alpha members, demonstrate academic excellence, be actively involved in community service, display good leadership potential, and be committed to the social work profession.

Award Amount: The grant value is up to $6,000. The first-place winner will also be granted an all-expense paid trip to the Association of Baccalaureate Program Directors conference.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,000.
