Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to five scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,000 each.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The AASEA Memorial Scholarships is open to current Arkansas residents or currently employed by a school district or educational cooperative in Arkansas. Application requirements for the AASEA Memorial Scholarships are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • A photograph that can appear in a newspaper.
Additional Information: Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators (AASEA) is a voice for special education administrators. Each year they offer a few scholarships. The AASEA Memorial Scholarships are awarded for undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate study in the following fields related to the education of children with special needs: Mental Retardation, Speech Therapy, Emotionally Disturbed, Specific Learning Disability, Hearing Impaired, Orthopedically Impaired, Visually Impaired/Blind, Special Education Supervision, and Administration or other related fields at the AASEA Scholarship Committee’s discretion. The application and additional information is available online under "Constituent Groups" and then "AASEA."

Award Amount: The winner of the AASEA Memorial Scholarships will receive $2,000 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.

To apply you must download and print a copy of the form which is available on the provider website. You must include letters of recommendation, college transcripts, a recent photograph and personal statement. Submit by mail.
