Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and is dependent on funding.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior or undergraduate transfer student.
  4. Must enroll full time.
  5. Must major in theatre.
  6. Must plan to attend Maryville College in Tennessee.
  7. Must attend a college or university in Tennessee.

Description: This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who plan to attend Maryville College in Tennessee. Students must major in theatre.

Application requirements for the Maryville College Theatre Scholarship are:

  • Admissions app.
  • Audition
Additional Information: The Theatre Scholarship is made with consideration to the following criteria: The quality of the audition performance; The student’s record of experience and success in his/her field; The potential for the applicant to contribute to the quality of the theatre program; Letter(s) of recommendation. It is preferred that the recipient have at least two years prior participation in theatre productions.

Award Amount: Up to $23,000 annually  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $23,000.

Scholarship applications are available online from the Maryville College website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit one or more letters of recommendation.
