Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a member of FMA.
  2. Must be currently enrolled in or entering a certificate or degree program which leads to a manufacturing career on a full-time basis (12 or more credit hours).
  3. Must have a 2.5 GPA for trade, community, or technical colleges or 3.0 GPA for universities.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) Scholarship is available for FMA members students currently enrolled in or entering a certificate or degree program which leads to a manufacturing career on a full-time basis (12 or more credit hours).

Application requirements for the Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • Photo and signed release form
Additional Information: Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) is the charitable foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International® (FMA). Our purpose is to support individuals in discovering their interest in manufacturing and to encourage the pursuit of a manufacturing career. Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs provides scholarships up to $3,500 for students pursuing degrees that will lead to manufacturing careers. They currently offer three scholarship programs that share a common application.

Award Amount: The winner of the Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs® (NBT) Scholarship will receive up to $3,500.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,500.
