Alabama Commission on Higher Education
Up to $1,200 per academic year, renewable for a total of 10 semesters/15 quarters of enrollment or until the completion of a baccalaureate degree, whichever occurs first. Recipients must reapply each year and maintain satisfactory academic progress, as determined by the institution.
The number of awards offered each year may vary based on the number of qualified applicants and funding levels available.
The Alabama Student Grant Program is a state student assistance program established Aug. 4, 1978 by the legislature of the state of Alabama and designed to provide financial assistance to residents of the state of Alabama for undergraduate non-sectarian, secular education at independent, nonprofit, postsecondary institutions of higher learning located within the state of Alabama. The program is not based on financial need.
