Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a current high school senior who plans to attend an accredited two- or four-year college/university in the 2016-2017 school year.
  4. Must be enrolled in an Arizona high school.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. high school seniors who are enrolled in an Arizona high school and plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college/university in the upcoming academic year. Students must have a grade point average of 3.4 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and participate in extracurricular activities.

Application requirements for the MayesTelles College Scholarship are:

  • Application form

  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letters (opt.)
Additional Information: Applicants must demonstrate a financial need and must participate in extracurricular activities such as sports or clubs or other community involvement.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, renewable for up to three additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Application information is available online on the MayesTelles PLLC website. To apply, each student must submit the following materials: a personal essay on the topic "How would this scholarship assist your education expenses, and what are your career goals for after college graduation?"; a resume; letters of recommendation (optional); and a transcript. Applications may be emailed or mailed using the contact information provided by the deadline date.
