Number of Awards & Eligibility: Approximately ten awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must be planning to attend the University of Arkansas.
  3. The typical recipient has a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
  4. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  5. The typical recipient has an SAT score of 1240 or higher OR an ACT score of 28 or higher.
  6. Must attend a college or university in Arkansas.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: U.S. and International students who are high school seniors and are planning to attend the University of Arkansas are eligible for this award. Students who receive this award typically have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher and have SAT/ACT scores of 1240/28 or higher.

Additional Information: The University of Arkansas Chancellor's Scholarship is available on a highly competitive basis. Each applicant must exhibit an outstanding academic background and high SAT scores.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, renewable for three additional years if a grade point average of 3.0 is maintained (renewable for four years for architecture and MAT students).  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $30,000.

Scholarship applications are available online on the University of Arkansas (UA) website. The student must completed the initial scholarship application form online. Completion of the online scholarship application form will generate a PDF document sent via email. The student must print this document, and mail it along with the following materials to the Office of Academic Scholarships: an academic resume; a list of five works he/she has read this year; an essay on one of the two choices listed on the PDF document; and an official transcript with test scores. The scholarship application and all supplemental materials must be submitted by Nov. 16 for maximum scholarship consideration. Students who miss this deadline may apply up until Feb. 1, but will only receive scholarships as funds allow. Please note: To be considered for this scholarship, the student must also apply for admission to UA. Admissions applications are available online on the UA website at iao.uark.edu/undergraduate.html Students may apply online or download and submit a paper application.
