Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  2. Must attend a community college in Ventura county: Ventura College, Oxnard College, or Moorpark College.
  3. Must be a graduating high school senior or GED recipient.

Description: The College Can Help Scholarship Fund is provided annually to graduating high school seniors and GED recipients from Ventura County who are enrolling at a Ventura County Community College. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and unmet financial need.

Additional Information: Awarded annually through a partnership with the Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF), the College Can Help Scholarship Fund is provided to local area students who are planning to attend a Ventura County Community College. Eligible schools include Ventura College, Oxnard College, and Moorpark College. Applicants must have a grade point average that indicates success academic progress as well as unmet financial need.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications and additional details for the College Can Help Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) website. To apply for a scholarship, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
