In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of California.
  4. Must be adopted, or have spent time in foster care, or have lost one or both parents to illness, accident, or another cause of death.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Description: The Rezvan Foundation Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors in the state of California who are adopted, have spent time in foster care, or who have lost one or more parents.

Additional Information: The Rezvan Foundation seeks to support the academic endeavors of students who have spent time in foster care, have been removed from their parents’ home, or have suffered the painful loss of one or more parent. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic achievements, commitment to volunteer work, strengrth of recommendations, and a demonstrated intention to "pay it forward" by taking care of others in need.

Award Amount: Winners can receive up to $100,000 or full tuition in total funding through The Rezvan Foundation Scholarship.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $100,000.

Applications and additional information about The Rezvan Foundation Scholarship is available online using the provided links. To be considered for this award, students must complete the printed application form and include the following: two essay responses of between a half page and two pages in length; official transcripts for all completed coursework; names and contact information for three recommenders; and a short video statement describing what the scholarship would mean for your educational opportunities. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted by email. Transcript and video submissions must be saved to the application email as attachments. Applications are accepted on a rolling or continuous basis. Students are encouraged to apply by January 1 for maximum consideration.
