Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of application.
  2. Must be a resident of Ventura County, California.
  3. Must be majoring in the visual or creative arts.

Description: The Vivian Klemz Memorial Scholarship Fund is available for current undergraduate students (sophomore level or higher) who are residents of Ventura County. Applicants must be majoring in visual or creative arts.

Additional Information: This scholarship is provided through the Ventura County Community Foundation in memory of Vivian Klemz. Applicants must be residents of Ventura County who previously graduated from a Ventura County High School, and must currently be majoring in visual or creative arts at an accredited college or university. Although not required, additional preference will be given to female applicants.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applications for the Vivian Klemz Memorial Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation website. To apply for an award, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
