To ensure complete impartiality in selection of recipients and to maintain a high level of professionalism, DCF programs are administered by AcademicWorks, a firm that specializes in managing sponsored scholarship programs. Preference will be given to those enrolled in the First State School or any of its branches prior to or at the time the health-related issue occurred. All students must have a low to moderate income. An independent selection committee will evaluate the applications and select the recipients considering: extracurricular activities; community involvement; essay content; academic achievements and records; financial need (optional). Decisions of the selection committees are final and are not subject to appeal. No application feedback will be given. Notifications are sent to recipients and applicants not selected to receive an award via email by the end of June.
Applications are available online on the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF) website. Students must apply via the online application system, and will be required to register an account using their em ... sign up for full scholarship deadline information.
