Additional Information: The Margaret F. Moore Foundation Scholarship is provided to graduating high school seniors in Delaware who are planning to major in elementary or secondary education and planning to pursue a career in teaching. Preference is given to students in Sussex County as well as students who plan to attend a college or university within the state. The Delaware Community Foundation has provided scholarships and other forms of financial assistance to deserving Delaware students since 1986. Students are encouraged to apply for any and scholarships that they are eligible for, as there is no limit on the number of awards a single student may receive. Additional information about the award may be found online at the Foundation's website, as well as at school guidance offices within the state.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications and additional information about this scholarship are available online at the Delaware Community Foundation website. To be considered for an award, eligible students must complete the online application form that includes the following: student contact information; academic information and history; financial need (if applicable); and one or more essay responses as are defined within the application. Students are not required to complete the application in one sitting - current changes can be saved for later completion, review, or attachment of additional items. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
