In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree or an electronic technician certification program.
  3. Must possess an active amateur radio license (any class).
  4. Must be a resident of Brevard County, Florida, or the state of Florida.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and/or have a higher grade point average.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. and international undergraduate students and students pursuing an electronic technician certification program who are licensed radio amateurs. Students must be residents of Brevard County (FL) or Florida, and must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Additional Information: The IRARC Memorial, Joseph P. Rubino, WA4MMD, Scholarship is provided annually to a student in Florida, with extra preference given to residents of Brevard County. Applications will be reviewed on the basis of the student's academic achievement, involvement in amateur radio, and unmet financial need. Recipients are typically notified by mid-May by USPS mail and email.

Award Amount: $750 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,250.

Applications are available on the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation website. Applications must be completed online. Students need only submit one application for all scholarships for which they are eligible. The student must provide contact information for one educational reference, one character reference, and one social reference on the online application. The student must also submit a copy of his/her academic transcript from his/her most recently completed school year to the email address provided. The transcript must be scanned and submitted as a PDF.
