Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. *Please note: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of students meeting the eligibility requirements in any give year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must attend or plan to attend South Florida Community College.
  4. Must be enrolled at least part time (six credits per semester).
  5. Must demonstrate academic promise by sustaining a grade point average of C+ (2.33 on a 4.0 scale) or better. Preference will be given to students with a grade point average of C+ to B- (2.33 to 2.7).
  6. Must be a high school senior or first-time college freshman at the time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. students who are attending or planning to attend South Florida Community College. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and priority will be given to students who have a grade point average between 2.0 and 3.0.

  • FAFSA by 3/15/2018
Additional Information: All South Florida Community College scholarship recipients are required to reapply every academic year, as well as maintain the specified required grade point average.

Award Amount: The monetary award amount varies according to the applicant's financial need. This award is non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,600.
