Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. *Please note: The number of recipients for this program varies according to the number of students meeting the eligibility requirements in any give year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Hardee, Highlands, or De Soto counties, Florida.
  4. Must attend or plan to attend South Florida Community College.
  5. Must be a full-time student.
  6. Must pursue a nursing degree.
  7. Must be a high school senior or college freshman at the time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. students who are enrolled or planning to enroll full time in a nursing program at South Florida Community College (SFCC). Applicants must be a resident of the SFCC service area, demonstrate financial need and express a "good faith" intention to seek employment in Highlands county following graduation.

Additional Information: *Please note: The applicant must profess a 'good faith' intent to seek employment in Highlands County following graduation. The student must demonstrate financial need. All South Florida Community College scholarship recipients are required to reapply every academic year, as well as maintain the specified required grade point average.

Award Amount: The monetary award amount varies according to the applicant's financial need. This award is non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,600.
