  2. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  3. Must be a resident of Georgia.
  4. Must attend a high school in the state of Georgia.

Additional Information: The mission of the Georgia Collectors Association is to assist its member agencies in meeting the high standards and financial responsibility set forth by the state of Georgia and the American Collectors Association International. Its primary purpose and goal is to provide members with education on all levels. Part of this service includes providing scholarships to college freshmen in support of wise credit choices. The completed essays will be graded and awards made by the Board of the Georgia Collectors Association. Winners will be announced in or around late April.

Award Amount: $500 offered annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applications are available online on the Georgia Collectors Association website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit a 1,000-word essay on the topic "The Wise Use of Credit - A Guide to Establishing a Healthy Financial Future", as well as the names, phone numbers and email addresses of two references. The application and essay must be submitted by email or postal mail using the contact information provided, and must be received by the deadline date.
