In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend or be a previous graduate of Fruitland High School in Fruitland, Idaho.
  2. Must be a high school senior or older at the time of application.
  3. Must plan to major in business.

Description: The Barbara L. Carnefix Memorial Scholarship Fund is provided annually to graduating seniors and previous graduates of Fruitland High School in Fruitland, Idaho. Applicants must be planning to study and pursue a career in business.

Additional Information: The Barbara L. Carnefix Memorial Scholarship Fund is provided annually to graduating high school seniors and previous graduates from Fruitland High School in Fruitland, Idaho. Award selection will consider a combination of academic achievements and financial need. Additional preference and consideration will be given to students who are attending a college or university within the state of Idaho.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Application forms, instructions, and additional information about the Barbara L. Carnefix Memorial Scholarship Fund are available on the Idaho Community Foundation website. Students may apply for all scholarships for which they are qualified; however, a separate application and supplemental materials must be submitted for each scholarship. In addition to the completed application form, applicants must submit the following materials: one-page essays addressing the topics listed on the application; a copy of their most recent high school transcript, report card, or unofficial/uncertified college transcript; two letters of recommendation; and an additional short essay (one page or less) describing a challenge he/she has faced in his/her life and how he/she handled it. Applications must be emailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
