Chicago Promise Scholarship

Any graduate of a Chicago Public high school with a 3.7 weighted GPA or higher who is admitted as a full-time freshman will be awarded a $20,000 scholarship, beginning in fall of 2019. This scholarship is renewable for four years based on satisfactory academic performance and progress, bringing the total award to $80,000. Students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement may receive a larger award. This scholarship may not be combined with other DePaul scholarships except for the Provost’s Achievement Award. Eligible students also may qualify for need-based financial aid.

American Public Works Association (APWA) Chicago Metro Chapter Fox Valley Branch Scholarship

Was your training budget reduced? Want to attend a conference, seminar, certificate course, or take an eLearning class? The Chicago Metro Chapter wants ANY member or employee of a member agency to apply for a stipend that could fund their class, seminar, certificate, training program, etc. and will help with professional growth and development in our public works field. This new focus for our Chapter program (now offered 2x per year) aims to support APWA members and employees at all levels through reimbursements for endeavors in training, credentialing and continuing education in a variety of non-degree programs.
