Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of Maine.
  3. Must plan to study civil engineering.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  5. Must attend a Maine high school.
  6. Must be a high school senior at time of application.

Description: This scholarship is available for Maine high school seniors who plan to study civil engineering. Students must be residents of Maine and attend a Maine high school.

Application requirements for the ASCE (Maine Section) Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Essay
  • Recommendation letters (3)
  • References (3)
Additional Information: The recipients will be selected based on the following: academic performance in high school, participation in extracurricular activities, his/her letters of recommendation, and his/her statement of interest in civil engineering. Women and minorities are especially encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.
