In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Westfield High School in Westfield, MA.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.

Description: The Barbara Holcomb Braem Scholarship Fund is available for graduating high school seniors at Westfield High School. Additional preference is given to students planning to major in business.

Additional Information: The Barbara Holcomb Braem Scholarship Fund is awarded and administered through the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts. The Community Foundation administers more than 600 charitable funds, including more than 130 scholarships provided that are provided to local area students each year. Applicants for this scholarship must be graduating seniors at Westfield High School and must plan to attend an accredited college or university during the following fall semester. Additional preference will be given to students who hope to major in business or a related field of study.

Award Amount: Scholarships are typically awarded in the amount of $1,000 and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications for the Barbara Holcomb Braem Scholarship Fund are available and accepted between January 1 and March 31. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete the online application at the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts website. Completed application forms will also require students to submit a recent copy of transcripts as well as their current year Student Aid Report. The Student Aid report is obtained when the student completes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All applications must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
