Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Michigan.
  2. Must attend a public college or university in Michigan.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. Must be accepted to or enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.

Description: This scholarship is available for undergraduate students in Michigan who are attending or planning to attend an accredited, public university in Michigan. Selection of awards is based on academic merit, financial harship, and involvement with community service.

Additional Information: The S.E.T. Educational Fund was founded in Michigan in 1998 in order to provide scholarships to Michigan residents who are attending Michigan colleges. Any missing requirements can result in a nullification of the application at the discretion of the Fund executor. Selection for scholarships will be based on a combination of academic achievement, financial need, work history, and community service participation.

Award Amount: $6,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $13,000.

Applications and additional information about this scholarship are available online at the SET Education Fund website using the link provided. To apply for this award, students must submit a completed application form that includes personal and academic information, short personal statement of up to 200 words, work history, and community service involvement. In addition, applicants must submit an additional letter of up to 500 words confirming his or her community service participation, recent 1040 forms for all parents (or the student, if financially independent), a copy of his/her Michigan driver's license or other proof of Michigan state residency, and a letter of acceptance or proof of enrollment at an accredited public university in Michigan. All applications and supporting documents must be received no later than the deadline date. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
