Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be fully admitted to Columbia College.
  4. Must be degree-seeking in an associate degree program (excluding the Associate of General Studies degree program).
  5. Must be able to prove military dependent status.
  6. Must be the spouse of an active duty Coast Guard military member.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This grant is awarded to fully admitted, degree-seeking students at Columbia College of Missouri. Applicants must be pursuing Associate's degrees (except Associate of General Studies). Applicants must also be the spouse of an active duty Coast Guard member.

Additional Information: The discount does not apply to students whose tuition is covered under other tuition assistance programs. This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other Columbia College tuition discounts or grants. Detailed information regarding terms and conditions of scholarships and renewal criteria is available in the "Scholarships, Awards, and Grants" section of the appropriate academic catalog for the student's status.

Award Amount: This grant is in the form of a 20 percent tuition discount for in-seat or online undergraduate courses. The overall award maximum is limited to $4,000. The grant is renewable for a maximum of three years after the grant is first used.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $16,000.

Scholarship information is available on the Columbia College of Missouri website. To be considered for a scholarship, students should submit an application for institutional aid, which is available via the CougarTrack online system in the Financial Aid section. Students must also show their military dependent identification card at their campus for verification. Online students may submit the 'Military Status Form' (available on the financial aid forms website). The priority deadline to submit financial aid paperwork is March 1 annually for the academic year beginning in August. Students submitting documentation after March 31 will be reviewed in the order received.
