In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduate student at the time of application.
  2. Must be enrolled at a college or university in Missouri.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must plan to pursue a career in the concrete industry.

Description: This scholarship is available for graduate students who are attending a college or university in the Missouri Chapter of the American Concrete Institute membership area. Applicants must be majoring in a acourse of study related to concrete, materials, design, or construction.

Additional Information: To honor long-time ACI member and Missouri S&T faculty Dr. David Richardson by promoting the development of future engineers, contractors and architects the ACI Missouri Chapter has established the Honorary David Richardson Graduate Scholarship Award. The annual award will provide financial assistance for graduate students pursuing a course of study in the field of concrete design, materials, or construction.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back in February for a refreshed application deadline date. Applications and information about this award are available on the Missouri Chapter of the American Concrete Institute at the address provided above. In addition to the completed application form, students must submit the following supplementary documents: a copy of transcripts for all educational institutions attended and credits attempted; two letters of recommendation, with at least one written by a faculty member; and a letter of enrollment or acceptance proving attendance in a graduate program. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date. Applicants are encouraged to submit all applications and supporting documents as electronically, as email attachments.
