  1. Must be an Asian Pacific American student.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  3. This award is for U.S. students.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be a reisdent of Missouri.

Description: The OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates Youth Leadership Award is available for Asian American and Pacific Islander high school seniors who reside in Missouri and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates Youth Leadership Award is available for Asian American and Pacific Islander students in Missouri who demonstrate academic excellence and a great potential for leadership. It is provided annually by OCA St. Louis, the local chapter of the national organization for Asian Pacific American Advocates Scholarship Central is made possible by a joint commitment between St. Louis Graduates and the St. Louis Community Foundation, as well as a variety of private and public sponsors.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

To be considered for this award, students must register an online account with the Scholarship Central scholarship application system. In addition to the online application form, applicants for the OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates Youth Leadership Award must submit: responses to the supplemental questions; a list of awards, extracurricular activities, and other distinctions; high school and/or college transcripts; proof of financial need; two letters of recommendation; an essay of up to 500 words in response to the posted topic; and ACT or PSAT/SAT score reports. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted through the online system no later than the deadline date.
