Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two to six awards offered annually. Last year, three awards were given.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be nineteen years of age or older.
  2. Must be a resident of the Realtors Association of Lincoln market area.
  3. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be a minority of racial, ethnic, or national origin.

Additional Information: As part of an ongoing commitment to affirmatively recruit individuals from all racial and ethnic groups to the Real Estate profession, the Realtors Association of Lincoln offers minority scholarships. The scholarship program is administered by the Realtors Association of Lincoln, Housing Advocacy Committee. The winner of the award must be willing to enter the first available class, complete the liscensing process within one year, and enter the real estate business with a member company of the Realtors Association of Lincoln within 60 days of passing the Nebraska Real Estate Licensing Exam.

Award Amount: $1,700 annually, non-renewable. This scholarship covers the cost of taking realtor classes.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,700.

Additional information can be found on the Realtors Association of Lincoln website. There are two deadlines annually, June 1 and November 1. In addition to the completed application form, students must write a short essay explaining their interest in becoming a Lincoln realtor. All application materials must be postmarked, faxed, or emailed by the deadline date.
